Rental fashion is as simple as it sounds. You pick your favourite outfit from an individual’s/ boutique’s collection and rent it for your big day or any special event at a very low rental fee. This is a fast-growing trend in the UK and US. And is now being embraced in Asian countries too, even India and is definitely here to stay!

Rental fashion makes complete sense. You get to look absolutely stunning and flaunt high-fashion outfits without having to buy them at an enormous price and letting them occupy a huge space in your wardrobe later. Specially when you’re hardly ever gonna wear them again. Rental fashion is sustainable, economical and doesn’t give in to fast fashion. RB isn’t just another boutique that offers ready-made clothing or stitching services. Nope! Roshini’s Boutique is Chennai’s favourite Rental Boutique that offers rental-fashion services and strives toward making luxury fashion accessible to all!

Roshini’s Boutique was initially called ‘Shiloh Boutique’ and was started back in 2016 by or founder, Roshini Shilpa. ‘Rental fashion’ is booming in the fashion industry all around the world. And we are so excited to have been pioneers in bringing the rental fashion experience to Chennai. We believe high-fashion should be accessible and affordable to every girl next-door who dreams of dressing up in luxurious outfits without having to spend hoards of precious money. After years of exploring many ways in making luxury fashion accessible, we now have a huge collection of high-fashion outfits that can be rented out for any event.

We don’t just stop with rental fashion. We now offer 'Custom Fashion' and 'Rent your Wardrobe’ services.
A 'hello' from Our Founder
Hello, darling! I’m Roshini Shilpa, founder of RB. If it isn't already obvious, I’m the Roshini in 'Roshini’s Boutique'. And here’s a little business background story.

I completed my master's in Human Resources and got into the corporate world. After a few years of running other companies, I decided it was time to start my own! Growing up, I always loved to dress up, dress others up, exchange clothes, lend clothes and celebrate sisterhood through fashion. I wanted everyone to be able to dress well and feel glamorous at least once in a while if not every day.

High fashion is often beyond reach for a lot of us and it makes no sense to spend tonnes on a single outfit considering the wear-once culture today. I mean, how often do you see people wearing their bridal gown or their reception lehenga?
My heart went out to all the beautiful brides who were wasting hoards of money on their wedding outfits when they knew they couldn't afford them (but still bought them) knowing it was just a one-day show. I wanted to help them. So in 2016, I bought a few bridal gowns and put them up for rent. It was a huge investment but I was surprised many were ready to rent them for their weddings, special events and photoshoots. It gave me great joy to know that people had great memories with outfits they’d never imagined they would otherwise wear. That’s how my business came into being and I’ve been able to establish it over the years and bless many women like you.

I live in Chennai with my dear husband who is my biggest support system. Running a business is definitely not easy. It has been a rollercoaster ride but God has sustained me and RB! I am also grateful for my family, friends, clients and the sweetest community online. You keep Roshini’s Boutique thriving and expanding by embracing rental fashion. I envision RB to be a community of women who lend and rent from each other, dress up pretty more often, share and flaunt outfits, and celebrate womanhood together. I believe ‘Rental Fashion’ is for everyone and I hope I encourage you to enjoy and embrace rental fashion. Isn’t this the best?
